EAT CLEAN

I am sure you've all heard the term "eat clean" but do you really know what it means to eat clean?

Here are a few tips you can follow to help you live a healthier lifestyle:

1. Protein in EVERY meal.  Protein feeds your muscles which will in return give you more energy and boost your metabolism

2. Try to cut out carbs.  If you want to look leaner then my best advice would be to cut out carbs. I personally cannot completely cut out carbs and not eating carbs at all is probably not healthy, but being more conscious of your carb intake will definitely help in losing weight.

3. Eat your veggies.  Eat lots and lots of veggies, most vegetables are low in calories and fat so they are a really great choice for snacking and as a side for meals.

4. Eat nuts. They are a great snack! They are packed with nutrients and protein.

5. drink water of course

6. drink green tea!! fill your mug up with water and put it in the mirowave for 45 seconds (that'll give you your hot water), then grab a tea bag!

EATING HEALTHY IN COLLEGE

Eating healthy in college is not always easy but definitely not impossible!  Simply cut out the pizza and nachos and swap them for healthier options.  When I made my big switch to a healthy lifestyle I started buying a lot more groceries and eating in my dorm.  I wrote out a college grocery list and made sure I only had healthy options in my dorm.

BREAKFAST: Microwaveable eggs whites and berries.  Check out my instagram to see how the egg whites are made.

LUNCH: packing your lunch is crucial! It keeps you from over eating and grabbing something else that could be unhealthy. I get these containers from Target and pack my lunch before my first class.

DINNER: I usually go to the dining hall for dinner and find something there.  Usually the food isn't very tasty so I'll just get a salad or something.  Just always be aware of making good choices.
